Especially if its stock. Its not that expensive to have a clean bore job done a known professional. Definitely not necessary to have a new engine to make it a good boat.

Erick, A stock re-worked is good. I have broken a few TD waterboxes, split at the welds.
Some guys are using the Yamaha waterbox from the GP. About $70 new if you can find one.
