Because SeaDoo has sincere intentions of supporting SD.net! They don't want the high-maintenance that comes along with a site like SD.net. (IMO) A few months ago they posted on 'SeaDoo Today' (on SD.COM) that SD.net was the 'proper' forum for the SD enthusiast.
Why, Craig, are you ready to get back in the game?? You do know that if you don't buy another ski soon, your membership card will expire here, don't you?? LOL (c= (Montereys are only good for rec.boat cards!)

GOOD!!! I wanna know why Sea-Doo doesnt have a boat that out of the crate cant run with an Ultra or GPR? Where is that damn 3rd cylinder? SD needs a 150hp stock boat. Then I will buy a 2nd one.. If not then looks like I will be buying a Ultra this Spring.. I love my GTX but its not going to win any races.

Reason I ask is that if you wish your ski had a bit more 'kick', you'll probably love a GTXL or '00/'01 GTX! Significant difference from the '96 you're riding now!
Or.......you could always do the GPR thing and spend 'til you can't spend no more! Then again, it'll still be a slug outta the hole but.................(c=

My roomate has a millinium GPR... I dont like it one bit.. My GTX will smoke it out of the hole...Plus that thing is a barge.. Shamu hull.. I am also not at all hot about that SMC hull...Sheet Molded Crap
I like the Kawa Ultra... Snaps outa the hole.. nothing can beat it on glass... Fiberglass hull. 1200 bux spent and you can have a 70 mph+ boat
As far as my GTX goes... I can run side by side with Kawasakis STX 1100s. Not as quick out of the hole (almost) but top end VERY close. The paint and plastic and everything still look like new.. I will keep it i think
Would I want a GTXL? My neighbors 951 was in the shop 3 times this summer. I am sure its a little faster but how much? My GTX about 52-53 on the GPS.. not bad...

I can't say which boat would be better for you, but to answer just this one question, it is much faster. A good running, stock GTXL will run about 58mph.

You might want to check on that... My mother has an STX 1100 and it is fiberglass to my recolection. I believe Kawa uses hand laid fiberglass... I believe Yamaha and Polaris use SMC
