I use the hose adapter flush kit to flush the motor. Do I need to rev the engine when flushing out sea water? Or can I just have the engine idle (about 3000 RPM) while the adapter is connected, and if I can just let it idle, for how long?

Thanks !!!

I rev up my skis and hold a steady throttle. Don't flush for more than a couple of minutes though. When flushing, your engine gets coolant but not the pump bearings like they would with water going around it when riding. If you want to flush longer just do it again after an hour? What I do is flush first, then wash the ski and spray lube on the engine and the other components and then dry the ski off. I will then flush again for a couple of minutes. The time you spend washing and drying, lets the pump parts cool off.
