It should have the weight of a FX1, the acceration of the superjet, and the top speed of a SXI.

I think having the lighter weight is a moot point with the horsepower available. I'd rather have the extra weight and a more stable craft than a lightweight boat. Even the pros feel that way...otherwise, they wouldn't be adding lead to their boats.

Hi Darin;

My guess is the engine will be based on their 700 twin, if not the identical engine. It's a good design. The Hurricane was just too much hull for it.

I've love to see direct injection and exhaust valves on that engine. I think it would be in the same class as the Rotax 782, which is an engine many of us have dreamed of having in a stand-up hull.

95 HP. If this new 'ski follows the typical Polaris 'Pro' theme, I'd also expect to see a Factory designed pipe on it, and in the neighborhood of ~110 HP out of a twin.

Nah, I don't think it'll be that much, but then again it depends upon how 'well equipped' they decide to build it. If it gets direct injection, an exhaust valved cylinder, an aftermarket pipe, and decent handling components (hand lever trim nozzle, loading grate and a good rideplate), then you could be on target with $8-9K.

Lead Weight: Hey Laszlo, when you rode a SXI would you consider your butt as dead weight or just lead? Sorry I couldn't resist. you know with us old guys trying to compete with the younger crowd. What are you going to be riding this year? Call me sometime. Carolina Watercraft Works, Inc. wrote in message

I hear ya Gary...the Grand Dad of the group. I think you could use some extra weight with your narrow butt. hehehe

I was planning on getting a new Pro but for now I'll just be content with putting my 650sx with PJS motor back on the water. I've got a few more CCs and I'll be tweaking on the intake end of things to see if I can get closer to the 60 mph mark...I only need 5 mph...I think I can get that. But I would be the first one to test a new Polaris stand up craft that makes it to our area. I think I can talk the dealer into letting me bring it over to my lake since he can almost see it from his shop. How about you?

I myself remember that first joyous feeling when making that first turn standing up. Come to think of it, that was just about the same feeling I got when I rode the SXi Pro the first time.

It's easier to add weight than it is to remove it.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly! I want it to be light when I want, then add weight if I feel I need it. It should be one trick ski if Wamilton's is building it.

Take their Genesis PWC, get rid of the seat and add a pole to it so all sit down riders can ride standup, make it a family standup ski Just kidding.

This is great news! There's no much change in the standup design over the last 5 years. It would be nice to see other manufactures creating standup to compete with Kawasaki and Yamaha. I would be interested to see a four stroke standup from Honda! Who knows, I'll probably pick up another new standup to add it to my collection
