Pretty motivating, 1 mph is pretty significant for an Ultra hull. Anyone have this 'actual' plate on theirs?

and run me over, wreck) yeah that one! I would consider this plate seriously if all those prownesses were true.

Are these Kawasaki skis posessed? I think I would rather push my blown Seadoo back to shore than risk getting run over from riding an Ultra.

I have used them on a SJ. I have very good things to say about them: Very high quality, hand crafted (ported and polished, rather tuned!), perfectly true. If you want to increase the performance you can 'tune' it up for very aggressive turning! Yes, it is a very fast combination! It is great for starts, can hold the throttle wide open through the sweeping bouys!

What I did not like: I am relatively short and only 155 lbs. The boat will get squirrelly at top speed if you do not ride the ass! (Mainly in cross wakes) Every rider that weighed 165 + lbs just loved how it handled. I have talked to another guy similar to my body size and he claims that this ride plate w/ a Worx intake cures the squirreliness but scrubs a little speed.

Over-all: Top notch product. You will be impressed but don't ride the boat stiff! You must relax a little and let it run! It will carve hard as you want to tune it, or de-tune for more mellow ride.

I can remember In fla. Kevin & I were at fay lake testing two boats he had just finished. for customer incarribian. one was great, & the other when it hit a certain speed wow cabam you went one way the ski went the other. was fun at first till it happened a couple of times. blueprinted the intake grate & it was fine after that, also had to fix how it was positioned in haul.>

I agree, but not everybody shares his riding style. I read the review of his ski in pwi and I think that's just what it is: HIS ski. I'm not sure many other people could have won the world championship on that ski. Jeff Hain wrote that Jeff was having a little bit of trouble riding the ski wide open on flat water. What it is, is a testament to probably the best standup pilot ever.

PS. I did like the part at the end where Jeff said last time he rode a 550 he was having a hard time with it! Imagine that.
