After enjoying my 750sx all last summer, and my 650sx the summer before, this winter I chose to do the upgrade thing to my ski. I really started towards the end of last summer being too lazy to put on some aprt I got <had to ski!> So they started making a pile in the corner of my living room. Silently growning as the months passed here in chilly Seattle. Sure enough, Xmas came around and the pile about doubled, so I figured it was time to get started on the '2001 a ski project'. January was filled with ebay wins and loss's but eventually, got everything I needed. A pipe, head, gasket kit, primer kit, carb kit <with new kets for the pipe>, flame arrester + adapter, some new grips

A few days here and there looking up info on the web, here in newgroups, and generally asking around I had about as much info as I needed and started in on the ski. First came out all the old parts, then went in the new. A few minor problems like the wrong size flame arrester adapter, leaving that back hose clamp too loose for the exhaust, and dropping a socket deep someplace where I couldn't reach it we're about the extent of my problems. There we're many people who helped along the way, some from here in this group, others from sales on ebay <Robert Sand, hella cool guy>. Today a friend and I braved the 45f temps <prolly 38f water temp brrrrr!> in out new drysuits and went for some test runs. Everything went great <minus almost loosing both grips> which I had to laugh about because
^$$ and makin bubbles. It seems Lake Rats like myself are becomming a dieing breed, standup riders are nowhere to be found. All I can say is whoever doesn't do it, is missing out.
p.s. yes, the ski has super power throughout the powerband, I highly reccomend it
