unfortunately i live on jamaica bay. Headline of local paper 'JET SKIS BANNED IN JAMAICA BAY'. Article goes on and on about the environment .....
I ride with 3 other people. we are all selling the jet skis and buying 2 engine jet boats. Now we will be polluting twice as much. Ironic isn't it?

Hey Neil, do you have any idea if there will be a legal way for a pwc'er to get from the ocean to the fuel dock at Venice Marina? I always stop there when headed into New York Harbor or to NJ from the south shore of L.I.
I called the marina just now and he wouldn't give me any information, said they did not know. I was surprised because I would think this would affect a big portion of his business and would know the scoop exactly.
What about all the hundreds of 'skis that jet dock there? Will they only be able to ride up and down the no-wake creek? Will he have to shut down that part of the marina? (Huge setback for him I would imagine.)
I'm thinking I'll just have to bungie cord a five-gallon jug to my 'ski for westbound ocean runs now instead.

Rich, the best thing to do is to call gateway. they should have the answers since they started this whole mess. I do think the marina is going to lose the business.
