I have a Polaris SLX 750, it has been sitting for a little over a year and now it wont start, it will start if i put gas straight into the carbs and it runs great until it runs out of gas, can someone please tell me how i can trouble shoot this problem?

Sounds like a passage of the gas is plugged. It sometime happen when the gas is old.

thank you , i will check on the gas lines and the filters, is there a chance that the fuel pump is bad or the carburator needs to be rebuilt?

Could be that the carburetor needs to be cleaned. Tho, I'd prefer to start with the simpler options.
