OK guys...how can we make the sport exciting to the public - get this spork kick started...how do we make 'water hills' to jump?

Don't know about the 'water hills' but I have envisioned a man-made wave machine sending waves into the course at alternating times. No rhythm...just whenever, all the time, or hardly ever.

Well, I'm thinking the only thing differentiating PWC racing from snowmobiles or bikes, is the big airtime...and ramps cause too much damage after tie of hulls...so we need some big water hills!

I went to Kings Island in Cincinnati last summer and went to the water park they have there. I was in the GIANT wave pool and all I could think of the whole time was 'Damn, I wish I could sneak my standup in here somehow'....

Looked like a motocross course to me.

Lazslo, Danny Geweke, definately someone who thinks beyond the box, thought up the idea a few years ago of water 'hills'. He envisioned a set of steps that water was forced over that would allow watercraft to actually climb up them for jumping. He drew it up one night on some scratch paper. He was convinced it would work great in an indoor arena type setting. I think Danny could have built it too, had he had the funds.

I have been thinking about that for a while, but am no where near smart enough to put it all together and figure out how it could be done...I have always wanted to see watercraft racing taken in doors. but its just not a spectator sport. If someone could come up with a way to build doubles, tripples, table tops, and rythem sections...And put them in a stadium...That would atract alot of people just like supercross.... Another thought of mine to make the sport more exciting is to have a long distance race down a rapid river. It would be dangerous, but that is what the people on TV want to see. YOu would have to go down waterfalls, and read the currents. and dodge large rocks. A couple people would probably get pretty hurt, but thats what people want to see...They dont want to see runabouts going in staright lines with sharp turns but no passing..If you watched the world finals this year on speed vision you would notice that it was the rius show..Who wants to see 1 guy blow everyone away. We need to add some exitment if we want the sport to grow. David Suesov

What I was thinking of was a wide, flat intake/exhaust pump - sitting on the bottom of the stadium floor. Something to produce at least a few feet of swell above it. You could run a series of these for the different sections. You would probably need at least 6 feet of calm depth in the stadium...sure would be exciting!

Mabey a large grid on the floor with high-pressure air - with thousands of outlets, creating a massive low-density field to go through before it - to help get the boats lower in the water before hitting the swell...

my buddy has allready created a rack with two super strong jaccuzi pumps that sends you flying but when you fall down on the surging water, thats all it is just water! If I ever get indoor watercross going, I will have my buddy build a rack with ten pumps for each jump!
