For those interested, the 2 Honda turbos have 11 hours on them now and are ready for their first oil change. Dealer says he has to order a special honda pump to pump out the oil from the sump, then change filter. I will take them in this weekend.

Both machines are running perfectly, start everytime, and never cease to put a smile on my face when you grap a full throttle or bank into a tight turn. I checked the oil a couple of times on both and could not see much decrease. Even though my son and I were jumping off last weekend out at the Parker strip for a few refreshing dips, there was 0 water inside the hulls at the end of the day, just as before. We put in another 100 miles or so in 6 hours and still had a quarter of a tank or so left I estimate! Range is excellent as I remember having to fill up the gtx and xpl way sooner. The ride has a bit more bow spray in the rough water than I remember from the gtx but less than the xpl. You need to wipe down those sunglasses from time to time

I have no problems to report at this time. Not one thing on either machine that I can find wrong. I do like not smelling or seeing the smoke and worrying about the oil injection reservior. People are very interested in these Hondas and stop you everywhere on the trailer and in the water to talk about them. Amazingly, I saw another two at Parker this weekend. From 11 hours on the seat, I can still highly recommend you take a close look or test ride on the Honda if you are interested in the 4 strokes. Hoping to hit Lake Mohave over Memorial weekend!

Jim, thanks for your report on your Honda. I have 10 hrs on mine at this point and am still pleased on how great a job Honda did with their first PWC. I too am amazed on how after a long and hard ride, there is not a drop of water in the hull anywhere to be found...

There is one item I feel is missing on the Honda however. I really miss an adjustable trim system. Most of the time, it probably does not need it, but after so many years on my XP and other Yamaha PWC, I have gotten use to having it.

Other than having a variable trim, a bit more power wouldn't hurt but overall, the performance for a factory stock machine is very impressive.

Jim I thought that the oil change was at 50 hrs. not 11 and if you want a pump west has one that goes on a drill for $8 that works good. I have been riding the hell out of my two turbos at W.O.T all day and no problems at all. Well Honda did say That if I Think the turbo is going to blow then go try and blow it. 39hrs now and still runing hard. your right about the people looking at the skis all the time lol.

I bet people are interested, given the fact they've only been released in 4 states. It's like a ghost. I live in NJ, and I've always said, I probably won't see one of those PWC's on the water for another 2-3 years. Still, I have to give the competition credit, Seadoo. Mass produced a 4 stroke PWC worldwide, globally. Hopefully I'll be able to see a Honda some time soon. The NJ bay has at LEAST 1 foot chop all the time...I wonder how they will hold up in constant pounding?

You are right Turbo, yet dealer would like me to go ahead and change it at 10 just for an extra margin of saftey...I said ok and they will check all bolt and fastener tightness too. They run so good, I hate to let anyone touch them really but what the heck...got to get them ready for memorial weekend...Jim

It being a Honda means alot in the engine department, I like the way they build engines . Reliable and well engineered are Honda hallmarks, I am a Yamaha man myself but really appreciate fine engineering. Trim systems will be next in line for the Honda and better pumps.

I believe Solas makes the pump for the Honda.
