Now that the D plate has been out for a while, has anyone found anything negative about it other than the work required to install ?

I have one in Killer GPR while the triples are off and it does well. No heat in motor compartment and can use regular Yamalube not the expensive synthentic. Installation took about one hour.

Jerry,

I have 46 hours on my GPR with about 7 hours of it with the 'D' plate installed. I have seen no down side what so ever.

The positive stuff is just what you expected... cooler running and able to use just about whatever oil you want. I still use Yamalube because it is cost effective. My boat 'seems' to breath easier and run better on the bottom, but I have no data to prove it.

It took about 1 and 1/2 hrs to install. It was well worth it, considering the problems I had with my catalytic converter before.

I still get my cat. con alarm after about 7 minutes if I try to put a load on it without completely warming it up.

Hope this helps,

Salty1024

this thing is killing me!

I have the Nov./Dec. issue of Splash Mag, and don't see anything on the D-plate. Where are you looking?
