Farthing Racing is pleased to announce our Factory Backed Team for 2001

The team will consist of Dustin Farthing on Pro Runabout 1200 also select Ski events. Expert National Ski Champ Topher Berretto on Pro Ski, Erminio Iantosca also on Pro Runabout 1200 and also Bill Dearmen on Expert 1200 limited and 1200 superstock. Red Bull's distribution center is 2 doors down from me. One of the managers from there came over to talk to me when he saw my ski in front of my shop. We chatted a little and it turns out that he just got into the sport. I invited him on some Catalina rides and I will be talking to him about some sponsorhip from Red Bull on regional events here in SoCal. Just yesterday Red Bull brought my employees and myself some samples to try. I think it's good stuff.

Here's what I, personally, would like to know. What kept the Farthing boat from running with Rius' boat at WF??

I'm guessin' that Rius may be putting on a couple mph for '01 and figure that Farthing's gonna have to make up the difference PLUS that couple of extra mph Rius may find in these off months.

As much as I'd love to see it, I doubt Gimmi Bosio will be adding that many mph to his XPL to keep up with, well, Rius anyway. (I'm assuming that Rius was pushin' 80 down the back straight.) Anyway, I'd at least like to see Farthing or, heck, ANYBODY knockin' on Rius' grab handle this year!

That's an easy one. A cheater hull and an sanctioning body who was too afraid to do anything about it.

I hear ya, but aren't most of the top guys doing the same thing anyway? I guess Rius' team knows how to do it better Put em all on a stock ski of their choice with some handling mods only and let's see who comes out on top. I would love to see that one.

dooinit, people were close to his grab handle the whole race , unfortunatley it was all the lappers ! :O) everytime i watch the film , im still amazed how F&^%$&G fast that gpr was, gee i wish i was a millionaire !
