Today I came across this post making fun on the wikipedia entry discussing personal watercraft injuries and the decision of the California Court of Appeal (First District) upheld a $3.7 million Napa County jury verdict against Polaris Industries arising out of one such incident (which had devastating effects on the victim’s lower abdomen).
Digging deeper I found an experienced Jet Ski lover that stated:
While he’s an avid jet skier who headed out to San Jose’s Calero Reservoir to ski just last week, he’s critical of the industry’s manufacturers and lobbyists. He says their jet-ski design encourages riders to be aggressive and therefore dangerous. And worse, he says they know it.
Are you aware of the dangers? Well some danger and excitement are part of the fun but nothing is worth such injuries as those that can be caused be lack of protections against falling. Safety suits are worth the effort.
I know it is a little off the subject of jetski, but Stacy Peralta riding giants is an amazing movie for all the sea lover. If you haven’t seen it find the DVD it is great to look at.
CarSoup.com that dealt with selling new and used vehicle has added personal watercraft to the inventory.
I feel this can be seen as an indication for the growing market for jet skis. The commercial site expand their service only if it economic. The fact that more and more firms and websites that dealt previously with vehicles include personal watercraft to their production line or offer them for sale makes it easy for all of us.
It is possible to sell the used jet ski, but a new or a used one and all this is becoming easier.
Better make sure to find out the minimal distance you need to keep from the bathers and ask about the need for personal watercraft helmet which is mandatory in Italy.
