I have a 1986 Kawasaki Jet Skis 550. What is the best type of gas to use? (octane, unleaded?, etc.) I am using Kawasaki brand oil mix at 40:1 ratio. Thanks

I have always used mid range fuel on my 550's Of course they seem to run better with higher octane, but I have been happy with 89 octane. 87 works fine too. One note: I always run a bottle of carb cleaner (STP or equivalent) with water remover in my ski's about every 2 or 3 fill ups.
