I'm looking into buying this ski with a water logged and then rusted out motor. Just wondering for the sake of buying parts for it what years are compatable and anyhting someone thinks I aught to know for putting it all back together with a new engine or --rebuild kit--??? Thanks!

The best you can do, in my humble opinion, is to obtain an owner's manual for your ski jet which you can obtain from:
http://www.repairmanual.com/personal_water_craft/1

It should make clear which parts you can use.
